Dear Friends,
As I reflect on this year at Mixxer, I am reminded of why our mission matters so deeply. At its core, I believe everyone deserves the chance to pursue creativity for more meaningful lives and fulfilling careers. Every day, we strive to provide a space where individuals not only create, but connect, learn, and grow — together.
This belief is the foundation of everything we do at Mixxer. It fuels my passion for fostering an inclusive environment where people from all walks of life can explore their potential, discover new skills, and realize their dreams.
This year was about building momentum, we increased staff for a second year in a row, hiring our youth STEAM Director, Jason Lagesse. This has opened the doors to year-round youth programming, winter camp offerings and a monthly Robotics meet-up.
We offered 16 tuition free shop Residencies to women and gender expansive people to learn more about the need to provide more targeted adult programming for these populations and how to serve them.
And we started the Artists and Craftpersons Development Series, a free monthly event that brings in professionals who can coach, train and mentor creatives as they expand into entrepreneurship.

Mixxer Community Makerspace is a non-profit that strives to level the playing field for members by providing access to the tools, technology, and knowledge they seek. We strive to make a positive impact on our community and are pleased to announce that we have earned the 2022 Gold Seal of Transparency for our efforts. We will continue to do our best for our community, and invite you to help us make an impact.
