Screen Printing Series Part 2: Printing a Design
Come learn how to use a screenprinting press to screen print on a garment!
Time & Location
Jan 25, 2025, 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Mixxer Makerspace, 1375 N Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27101, USA
About the event
In this second part of the screen printing series we will take the screens prepared from the first class or a premade screen from Mixxer if you did not attend the first session and print on your chosen garment! You will learn how to prep your screen for printing, how to setup the manual press and how to align your garment correctly to ensure proper print placement. After printing we will go over how to cure the ink so that your garment is safe to wash. Once the printing is done you will then learn the cleanup and screen reclaim process so that the screen can be reused again and again. Class length may vary slightly and each person learns at their own pace
IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure to bring the garment you intend to print on to in this class. Please be sure to wear clothing you don't mind getting messy! You may also want to bring any specific ink if we do not have the color you intend to use. All other tools and materials will be provided.
