Woodworking 101: Cutting Board

Come learn the basics of how to properly use tools in the woodshop to create your very own cutting board! In this intro class, you'll be guided through the techniques and skills needed to get started in woodworking. You'll go through the process of how to cut your wood, process it for a smooth surface, and finish it off to be used in your kitchen for years to come! This class is the perfect way to get started in woodworking and get to know the tools in the woodshop.

Important Note: Be sure to wear long pants and close toed shoes. We'll provide the rest of the safety gear you'll need.

This meet up is for makers 16 years old and older. All makers under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.  Please email workshops@wsmixxer.org for any questions.

Workshops must meet a minimum number of registrations. Mixxer may cancel workshop 48 hours prior to start time, if minimum is not met. Should you need to cancel your registration, 48 hours notice is required to request a cancellation, refund or credit to future workshop date.
