Where is Mixxer?

Mixxer is located at 1375 North Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27101. The building next door to the Winston Cup Museum, across the street from the Arts Based School, and across the train tracks from Wise Man Brewing, and The RamKat. Mixxer has chosen a great location in the Industry Hill neighborhood, within walking and biking distance of the vibrant urban core of downtown Winston-Salem. Visible from this location are The Arts District, which is undergoing dramatic growth; and the Innovation Quarter, which is bringing innovators, entrepreneurs, and excitement to our community. Many new downtown apartments accompany the growth in our city, bringing an abundance of creative and innovative people within walking distance of this community workspace. Urban living does not have to exclude you from the pleasure and satisfaction of being a maker anymore. Easy access and parking make it stress-free for commuters to enjoy Mixxer as well. Plan to spend a day with friends and family enjoying making something together, and then take a short walk over to one of the many restaurants, brew pubs, wine bars, shopping, or galleries in the neighborhood.
Can I come tour Mixxer?

Yes! You can stop by for a tour during our public hours Tuesday-Saturday 12-8 PM. We also have standing group tours every Saturday at 2 PM. Interested in setting up a tour for your private group? Reach out to us at info@wsmixxer.org
Do you have to know how to use the tools to be a member?

No! On demand tool training for all of our tools is included with membership.
Do you have to be a member to take a class?

No, you don't have to be a member to come take a class at Mixxer! Being a member does get you a discount of at least 10% off (and up to %100 off) on all classes.
Are classes included with membership?

Some classes are included and all are discounted for members! Members receive at least a 10% discount on all classes with some classes having higher discounts.
Can my child take a non-youth class at Mixxer and what are the requirements?

Absolutely! Each of our classes have a specific age minimum requirement based on the activity and the instructor so please check each class individually for that minimum. Exceptions for these minimum requirements can be made on a case by case basis. Please reach out with inquiries to workshops@wsmixxer.org. For ALL non-youth classes and membership minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
